How to Clear JEE and 12th together....

Hello,
this is my first blog giving some important tips and suggestions on how to clear JEE mains and 12th board together. Let me remind you  I am just a normal 1st year guy in college who has been through this recently(2015 batch) and I have cleared JEE mains and various other competitive exams held in India.

So, this blog targets those students who are currently in 11th (just went through a transition from 10th to 11th) and in 12th. This blog will mainly be telling where I and every other student went wrong and where you can improve yourself.

So, here we begin :-

1) Enroll yourself in some coaching institute : This is not to promote coaching institutes but you need to know that these exams are getting tougher every year and basic schools studies and even self preparation wont help you to clear with good marks to join  reputed colleges accepting JEE marks like NIT's/IIIT's, etc.

NOTE: Before enrolling yourself you should bare in mind that don't just go by the brand and number of students placed in IITs and NITs by your coaching institute because I have friends here who have taken drop for 1 year and did their coaching from KOTA's good coaching institutes like allen, bansal and they are still here so just enrolling in these great coaching institutes does not guarantee any success...

You should check these things before enrolling:-

 a) check the timings of their classes because you should get enough time at the day for self-study once you do your school and coaching

 b) check how is their faculty by asking your friends who are already there or  seniors who have studied

 c)  check their material does it satisfy your needs then only join there.

2) Don't buy too many books: Yes, I am telling you these things from my own experience. Stick to few good standard books only. Yes everyone says to do NCERT but CBSE students know NCERT books of PCM is not sufficient for preparing for these exams including boards.

I would recommend following books :-

  Physics:-
a) New Simplified Physics S.L. Arora (for boards preparation)
b) Halliday, resnick (for JEE preparation)
c)Your coaching material

Go to this link to get additional tips ( for 12th students)

Mathematics :
a)NCERT book (for board preparation because most questions come from there)
b)coaching material
c)Objective Mathematics For JEE ( Main & Advanced) & Other Engineering Entrance Examinations by RD sharma ( is you can manage)

Chemistry:
a)O.P tondon for all three (physical, organic, inorganic) (its worth it if you can do this book don't go by the size I know its heavy)
b)coaching material
c)Ncert (organic and inorganic questions in boards come from Ncert)

NOTE: If you do these books sincerely I guarantee you will definitely achieve what you desire.

 3) Utilizing holidays and disconnecting from other distractions: Yes many of us kill our time on facebook, whatsapp, etc. everyday BUT when you do self studies on holidays and keep your pace with your coaching institute and your school you would realize you have completed your course really well in advance and feel confident on exam day.

4) Make notes for all subjects including English: Yes here you need to focus on board and competition both so I managed it by making one notes that could be useful in both scenarios
I first made notes according to my board preparation and then I added an extra page at the end which included extra points which were useful for JEE preparation this way during last few months I could revise both and notes written by you helps to learn better and remember well during last crucial moments before exam.

The reason I say English most students neglect this subject and keep it for the end which leads to lower marks in your boards so study this subject once in a weeks when you are really tired from PCM

You can refer ALL IN ONE from arihant publications its really a good book......

5) Solve and Analyse Previous Years Question paper: Yes this one really helps you need to solve
previous year papers for both JEE and board and need to analyse which questions come every year
and which topics are important.

At the end nothing is possible without MOTIVATION so check these videos out:

I hope I have solved your query and please send in some suggestions what to add or what I can tell you more on this topic or anything else.

Your comments are most valuable to me and will be well appreciated and worked upon.
